Palestinian sources say Shalit matter at center of truce talks
Palestinian sources in Gaza told Ynet on Sunday evening that as opposed to what had been the original outline of the truce negotiations between Hamas and the Egyptian mediators, the issue of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit proved to be central to the talks.
An official from one of the groups holding Shalit said that while Egypt's overtures have so far been encouraging, "with the Israelis you have to be suspicious even after there is a deal. These are not people who can be trusted, under any circumstances," he said. (Ali Waked)
