' Profound failure.' Foxman
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) expressed outrage Tuesday over a recently published British knitting book that features an Adolf Hitler doll.
Elections
'American elections provided excuse for Arab media to promulgate perverse, bigoted age-old conspiracy theories that portray Israelis, Jews as controlling candidates,' ADL report says
The knitting book by Rachael Matthews includes instructions on knitting figures of historical dictators and has a Hitler doll on its cover.
“To popularize a soft, knit version of Hitler insults the memory of those who died in the Holocaust, the survivors, and those who fought against the Nazis,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL national director and a Holocaust survivor.
“It shows a profound failure by Ms. Matthews to understand the horror of Hitler’s Nazi machine.”
“We expect that this disturbing marketing ploy will fail miserably in Britain, where 450,000 people died in the war to defeat Hitler and the Nazi regime,” Foxman added.
