President Peres congratulates Olympic medalist Zubari
President Shimon Peres telephoned Israeli sailor Shahar Zubari and congratulated him for winning a bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
"We in Israel almost mourned in a sea of desperation, and you took us out of there to a new dawn," Peres said, adding that he was waiting for Zubari at the President's Residence with open arms. (Ronen Medzini)
