Nasrallah: Next war will end in victory

Hizbullah leader warns Israel against attacking Lebanon, says 'war's outcome will be clear,' adds, 'Israeli enemy's army will witness things from our warriors in the field it has never seen since plundering entity was established'

Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah warned Sunday that his organization would respond in an "aggressive and resolved" manner to an Israeli strike in Lebanon, Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV reported Sunday.

In a speech broadcast by the news channel, Nasrallah announced that the next war would end in a "clear and decisive victory for Hizbullah."

He claimed that "the new Israeli threat is not the Air Force, but rather what Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak says about a land-based operation he will carry out in Lebanese territory in a few days, while discussing five brigades ready to carry out this mission. These brigades will be destroyed, as will the plundering Israel, in any future war."

The leader spoke about what he dubbed "daily threats heard from Israel," and claimed any future war would end in a swift victory. "The Israeli enemy's army will witness things it has never seen since the plundering entity was established, from our warriors in the field," he declared.

Nasrallah went on to explain that the threats voiced by Israel's leadership originate from an ongoing political battle. "The threats and intimidations are an inner Israeli necessity, because as you know there are currently Kadima elections and competition between (Transportation Minister Shaul) Mofaz, (Foreign Minister Tzipi) Livni, and the other candidates is natural," he said.

He added that the upcoming general elections were also affecting the atmosphere. "There is a leadership crisis over there in the Israeli entity and everyone is trying to present himself as though he is the commander, the expert, and the savior," he said.

"With this atmosphere the threat campaign against Lebanon will increase. Despite this we do not take these threats lightly and regard them truthfully and determinedly. Any future war with Lebanon will lead to repercussions different from those of the past war. Its outcome will be clear."

Meanwhile Hizbullah's representative in the Lebanese parliament, Sheikh Mohammad Raad, warned Israel that in the event it decides to attack Iran the organization will retaliate with thousands of missiles.

"The response to one shot fired by the Zionists at Iran will be the launching of 11,000 missiles in their direction. Iranian military officials have confirmed this," he said.
