Pakistan official says country at war

A senior Pakistani official says the government is fighting a war that will continue until the country is free of terrorism.

Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik said in remarks broadcast Friday that previous Pakistani military campaigns against Islamic militants were halted too soon. He said the current government will take operations to their "logical conclusion" and that "this war will continue until we make Pakistan terrorism-free." (AP)
