Hirchson affair: Former National Labor Federation director convicted

The Tel Aviv District Court found former National Labor Federation Director Yitzhak Russo guilty of theft, fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and other offenses.

Russo was convicted as part of a plea bargain following his confession in a case involving former Finance Minister Abraham Hirchson. The prosecution is expected to ask the court to sentence Russo to 20 months in prison and order him to pay NIS 300,000 (about $77,330) in compensation. (Vered Luvitch)
