Gaddafi blames Israel for Darfur crisis
Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, the current African Union president, on Tuesday accused "foreign forces" including Israel of being behind the Darfur conflict.

In a meeting with United Nations representations, he urged the International Criminal Court to stop proceedings against Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, accused of masterminding the regional genocide. "Why do we have to hold Bashir or the Sudanese government responsible when the Darfur problem was caused by outside parties, and Tel Aviv, for example, is behind the Darfur crisis?" Gaddafi asked.
