Iran: Rafsanjani resigns from political positions following election
Former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has resigned from his position as Expediency Council chairman following the results of the nationwide elections.
According to a report by al-Arabiya, Rafsanjani also resigned from a position he held with a committee responsible for determining the interests of the Iranian regime. (Roee Nahmias and Dudi Cohen)
