Report: Senior Palestinian official met Iranian FM
Head of the Palestinian Authority's negotiation team, Saeb Erekat, met last week with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at the meeting of non-aligned states in Egypt, according to a Palestinian official who refused to give his name.
"Erekat met with Iranian Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in Sharm a-Sheikh three days ago," said the source. He added that this is the first time that such a high level meeting was held between Iran and the Palestinian Authority since 1994. (AFP)
