2 Israelis injured by stones in West Bank

Woman driving car sustains severe head injury from shattered windshield, man lightly injured

A 50-year old woman was severely injured by stones flung at the vehicle she was driving on Friday, near Tapuach junction in the West Bank. The man who was with her was injured lightly.

The incident occurred as the two, the woman and her family member, were passing northeast of Ramallah. Near Sanjil junction stones were thrown at the vehicle, which shattered the windshield.

The man then continued driving until Tapuach junction, meanwhile calling rescue services. Paramedics

arrived on the scene and evacuated the two to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikvah. They said the woman had sustained a skull fracture.

The IDF has launched a search, and sources say the stones were thrown from Sanjil village, where the culprits are thought to have fled.
