A group of bereaved mothers sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanding that he step up efforts to bring captive Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit back home. Among those signed on the letter, which issues a request to meet with Netanyahu soon, were Rona Ramon, Miki Goldwasser, and Esther Wachsman.
"Some of us lost many family members in murderous terrorist attacks, and, despite this, have found the courage to request the release of the very same people who planned these attacks in order to save Gilad. You, too, should find the determination and courage to stop gambling on the life and sanity of Gilad and bring him back to his family immediately," the letter said. (Daniel Edelson)
