Israel praises IAEA decision to censure Iran

Israel welcomed a decision by the UN nuclear watchdog to censure Iran for covering up a secret site for uranium enrichment. A statement by the Foreign Ministry said the significance of the decision was international recognition of Iran's violation of standards set by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

"The international community must, through use of its authorities and members, ensure that this decision has practical derivatives by setting a time schedule for it to be carried out as well as sanctions that will be imposed on Iran if it proceeds to violate (the schedule)," the statement said.
