Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar attacked Justice Minister Yakov Ne'eman's critics saying the storm that ensued following the minister's statements about instating Torah law in Israel is "hypocrisy in the name of democracy."
"What is this hypocrisy?" the rabbi quipped. "All of a sudden they are trying to say that if he is justice minister he has large with which he can close down the courts. This is bald-faced extremism." (Kobi Nahshoni)
