So who assassinated Hamas
commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh? According to the Dubai police commissioner, it was definitely not real tennis player or the Israeli Peace Now movement.
The police chief, Dahi Khalfan Tamim, was asked in an interview to the al-Arabiya network why he had reached the conclusion
that Mossad agents of all people were behind the killing.

Dhahi Khalfan Tamim challenges Israel to test DNA of suspected assassins of Hamas man Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, says: 'You can lie about anything, but not about DNA'
"We have a number of DNA samples, but secondly – they all had real foreign passports whose details were forged. For example, the German one whose owner turned out to the Israeli. When it turned out that some of them were from Israel, so what do you think? That Peace Now murdered Mabhouh? It's the Mossad, 100%," he stated.
Tamim was also asked about the details which raised the authorities' suspicion before they managed to reveal the identities of the hit team's members. He gave a particularly creative explanation.
"One of the people was wearing a tennis outfit and held back people at the lobby, but wasn't even a hotel guest. This is where the doubts began. The same person appeared hesitant and confused and spent a long time in the lobby instead of going to play tennis. Even the costumes were very amateurish, 1970s style. If they would like a costumes course, we could have given them one. That's where they failed."
