Sources in Paris reported that Israel apparently passed the final test before being added to the OECD, an organization of the world's most developed countries. Thirty other countries are members.
This came at the end of the final hearing held in Paris that addressed how Israel addressed bribery and corruption in the public sector. Members of the Israeli delegation presented the steps taken to battle these phenomena. Final notification of Israel's acceptance to the OECD is expected in the coming days. (Roni Sofer)
