IDF kills infiltrator near Egyptian border; attempted terror attack suspected
An IDF force identified several infiltrators at the border with Egypt Wednesday morning, some 40 kilometers north of Eilat. At least one of the infiltrators was armed. The force fired at the group, killing one of its members. The rest managed to flee.
Several sacks were found at the scene, and the IDF is examining whether the group was trying to smuggle drugs or planning to carry out a terror attack. (Hanan Greenberg)
