Miami Heat's newest superstar LeBron James allegedly paid a New York rabbi with connections in south Florida "in the neighborhood of six figures" to accompany him in a recent series of high-level marketing meetings, according the entertainment website TMZ.
TMZ reported this week that Rabbi Yishayahu Yosef Pinto, 37, who does not speak a word of English, was hired to give James 'spiritual guidance' during presentations from several "big time" retail executives.
The website said the rabbi, dubbed "Rabbi to the Business Stars," has met with "all sorts of business moguls in the past ... and is considered by some to be a 'spiritual guide' who consults on business matters."
The rabbi also advises leading Israeli businessmen, including Ilan Ben-Dov and Jacky Ben-Zaken.
TMZ posted a photo showing James and Pinto holding hands aboard a yacht off the coast of New York, where the business meetings were reportedly held.
