The best predictions were presented on a special website and people from around the world were asked to vote for their favourites. Ofir Leitner from Israel, Yoshinori Ichikawa from Japan and Jennie Lees from USA, got the highest number of votes. All three winners will receive round-trip business class tickets to London with the opportunity to meet influential figures from the world of business and discover how the UK can serve as a springboard for global growth.
Richard Salt, Director, UK Trade & Investment in Israel said: “we congratulate Ofir on winning the competition and are impressed by the number of Israelis who submitted predictions and participated in the competition. This demonstrates the strength and vitality of connections between Britain and Israel.
"Both countries value innovation and recognize its role in shaping the future. I encourage Israeli businesspeople who want to explore business opportunities in the UK to approach us at the British Embassy in Tel Aviv, and we’ll do our best to help them succeed in the UK”.
Ofir’s prediction was that in 2020 virtual and augmented realities will blend into the physical world, making our global village more connected and unified. People and businesses will be able to collaborate from great distances overcoming cultural and geographical barriers, thus entering the greatest golden age of all times.
