A survey conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reveals that 72% of the Jewish population in Israel aged 20 older visited a synagogue during 2009. Twenty-one percent of the poll's respondents said they are more religious today than they used to be, while 14% reported the opposite.
The poll was conducted by the CBS between January and December of 2009 and interviewed 7,500 people aged 20 and older from throughout the country in a representative sample of 4.7 million people. (Ynet)
