Abbas: If settlement building continues, we'll be forced to stop talks

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said during an interview with radio station Europe 1 that he wants a continued freeze on settlement construction in the West Bank as long as negotiations are underway.

"We don't want to stop the talks, but if the building continues, we will have to put a stop to them," he said. "(Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu must know that peace is more important than settlements." (AFP)
