Palestinian terrorists in northern Gaza fired two Qassams towards Israeli territory Wednesday afternoon. There were no reports of injury or damage.
One of the rockets landed in an open area in the Negev's Eshkol Regional Council, while the other landed near the security fence separating Israel and Gaza. The "Color Red" siren was not heard before either explosion.
Eshkol Regional Council head Haim Yalin linked the attacks to the recently launched peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. "It is obvious that if the peace talks continue and Hamas finds itself with its back against the wall, the attacks will intensify."
"The only speak the language of rockets," he added.
On Friday a Qassam landed in an open area in the western Negev, causing no injuries or damage.
A little over a week ago the IDF attacked a group of Palestinian terrorists as they were preparing to launch rockets from central Gaza towards the Negev region. Three gunmen belonging to Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades were killed in the attack.
