Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman told his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb Tuesday that he is skeptical about the prospects of peace, and that he expects the Palestinians to work towards undermining Israel's legitimacy
The minister said that the Palestinian refusal to accept Israel as a Jewish state awakens makes him concerned that "it won't be possible to reach a final-status agreement."
Moreover, Lieberman predicted that the Palestinians will try, with the help of certain elements among Israel's Arabs, to undermine the legitimacy of Israel as a Jewish state, and will work to create autonomy in different areas in the state.
The two foreign ministers met at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.
Earlier this week, Lieberman spoke out against Europe during a meeting with the foreign ministers of France and Spain, telling them that "before you come to teach us how to solve our disagreements, I expect you to at least solve all the problems in Europe."
"We will not be the Czechoslovakia of 2010," he said at the time.
