Right-wing activists arrived at Umm al-Fahm and were immediately pelted with stones by residents of the Arab town. Police fired stun grenades and tear gas at the protestors in order to prevent rioting.
Earlier the mayor of the town, Sheikh Khaled Hamdan, told protestors, "Whatever happens, I ask that you use restraint. Don't take the law into your own hands." (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
