Issawiya man suspected of planning stabbing attack

An Issawiya resident, 50, was arrested in Jerusalem on suspicion of trying to carry out a stabbing attack at the entrance to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital. According to the suspicions, the man chased a girl with a knife in his hand, and was arrested only when security guards and a taxi driver gained control of him.

The suspect told his investigators that he was released from prison several months ago and had planned the stabbing attack in order to prove to his friends that he is not a collaborator. (Yair Altman)
