Defense Minister Ehud Barak slammed the law which demands a referendum before any withdrawal from the territories, recently approved by the Knesset.
"The law can be used by critics of Israel, claiming it is binding itself," he said during a conversation with regional council heads. He also referred to the creation of a Palestinian state, saying, "We aren't doing anyone any favors. A Palestinian state is in Israel's interests." (Attila Somfalvi)
