Arab League condemns 'referendum law' as obstacle to peace
The Arab League condemned the referendum law passed by the Knesset on Monday, according to which any Israeli withdrawal from sovereign territory would require the support of the majority of Israeli citizens and at least 60 Knesset members.
"The decision is a provocation," the Office of the League's secretary general said. "Israel is setting up more and more obstacles to undermine efforts to reach a peace agreement." (AFP)
