Simon Wiesenthal Center: Prosecute Lithuanian Holocaust denier

The Simon Wiesenthal Center called on the Lithuanian government to prosecute a senior official in the Lithuanian Interior Ministry who said that the Holocaust was a "Legend" and claimed that the genocide of Jews never happened.

The center welcomed the official's resignation on Thursday morning, but stated that Holocaust denial is considered a criminal offense in Lithuania, and called on the authorities to judge him for his actions. (Ynet)
