Safed Rabbi fails to answer investigation summons
The Chief Rabbi of Safed Shmuel Eliyahu was summoned to police headquarters Friday for an investigation, following the rabbis' letter he instigated which called on the public to refrain from renting out and selling apartments to non-Jews.

Rabbi Eliyahu told Ynet that in spite of the summons, he had no intentions to report to the investigation. He explained that he made the decision after finding out left wing activists who had demonstrated against Jewish settlement in east Jerusalem weren't investigated over the incident.
