US: Arrest of Russian deputy PM to cause 'long term damage'

The United States expressed disappointment over the arrest of former Russian Deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov. He was sentenced to 15 days in prison after participating in an opposition rally in Moscow.

 

US State Department spokesman Philip Crowley issued a statement saying such an arrest has the potential of causing long term damage to Russian interests. (AFP)
