The Turkel Commission members stressed they did not find any evidence to the claims Israel was trying to prevent food from entering Gaza or attempting to destroy the population by starving them. They added that the Gaza Strip suffers from a 'lack of nutritional stability', not starvation.
The commission clarified that Israel is trying to diminish the suffering in Gaza. In regards to the navy blockade, the commission members ruled Israel's actions were in check with the rules of international and humanitarian laws required is such a case. (Attila Somfalvi and Aviad Glickman)
