Thousands gathered to demonstrate against President Hosni Mubarak on Saturday in Washington and New York, calling on the US government to "get on the right side of history" by cutting the aid it provides to Egypt.
A thousand people demonstrated outside the Egyptian embassy in Washington, D.C., waving sign with slogans such as "Enough with the Pharaoh." In New York, a thousand protestors demonstrated for three hours in front of the United Nations building. A rally was also held at the Egyptian consulate in New York. (AFP)
