The warning also calls on family members of Israelis traveling in Sinai to contact their loved ones and inform them that "security forces have reliable and updated information showing that terror agencies are currently attempting to kidnap Israelis in Sinai for negotiation purposes".
Due to this intelligence, the bureau "strongly recommends Israelis refrain from visiting Sinai and calls on all Israelis there to leave immediately and return to Israel".
"The security situation in Sinai, which is generally unstable, creates a real risk for Israelis traveling there," the warning says.
"Over the weekend the IDF hurt a Hamas terror cell in Gaza, which was involved in preparing an attack in Sinai. This incident demonstrates the reality and presence of these attempts."
The IDF said late Friday night that a joint operation involving the army and Shin Bet security service targeted a Hamas terror cell planning to abduct Israelis in the Sinai Peninsula and in Israel ahead of the upcoming Passover holiday.
