Itamar massacre terrorist says wanted to die martyr's death

One of the suspects who were arrested for perpetrating the stabbing attack in Itamar, Amjad Mahmad Uwad, a 19-year-old student who worked as a laborer in Israel, said that he came to Itamar to "die a martyr's death."

He was arrested along with Hakim Mazen Uwad, 18, a high school student. Both are residents of Awarta. The Shin Bet estimate that even though both suspects are associated with the Popular Front terror organization, the terrorist attack was their own initiative. They confessed to carrying out the attack. (Hanan Greenberg)
