Yaakov "Jack" Teitel, AKA "the Jewish terrorist" appealed to the Petah Tikva District Court on the eve of the Passover holiday demanding that he be allowed a conjugal visit with his wife.
The Prison Service had already denied the request made by Teitel who is being held until the conclusion of the legal proceedings against him for a number of severe offenses including the murder of two Palestinians, citing security reasons.
During his detention Teitel was moved between a number of prison facilities, he also experienced some ups and downs in the state of his mental health.
In the appeal his attorney Adi Keidar noted that "in the balance between the rights of the appellant and his behavior and in light of the fact that other prisoners receive conjugal visits it seems that at this time there is no real reason to prevent the appellant his conjugal visitation rights as there is no specific claim that giving him this right would infringe on security public order."
A severe indictment including a long line of offences allegedly carried out over a decade which included the murder of two Palestinians, he has been in detention ever since.
