VIDEO - A sudden eruption of gunfire in Tripoli's Abu Salim neighborhood finds Ynet correspondent Tsur Shezaf in an open square surrounded by tall buildings – a sniper's paradise. He eventually emerges unscathed. While many shots are fired, few hit their targets.
The neighborhood is President Muammar Gaddafi's last stronghold in Tripoli. Rebels spent Thursday searching for the illusive dictator. At the height of the gun battles, some 1,000 rebels raided 10 buildings where they thought Gaddafi and his sons were hiding.
