Verint to buy GMT for $24.6M

Israel-based Software maker says deal will help it offer 'more compelling' business productivity technology to its customers

Israel-based software maker Verint Systems Inc. said last week it had agreed to buy Global Management Technologies Corp. for $24.6 million in cash, plus the option for additional payments based on the company's future performance.

Verint, which makes software for analyzing intercepted communications, said it may pay up to another $17.4 million over 28 months after the closing if GMT meets certain goals.

Privately held GMT makes workforce management software used by banks and other businesses.

Verint said the deal will help it offer a "more compelling" business productivity technology to its customers.
