Two ships carrying 27 activists from five countries are sailing through international waters en route to Gaza, US activists announced Wednesday. The vessels apparently departed from a Turkish port.
The activists said they decided to set sail without first announcing the step in order to prevent US and Israeli pressure on countries where they plan to dock in. The flotilla organizers promised to send more ships so as to express support of the population in Gaza. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
