Iran has buried a slain nuclear expert, whom Tehran officials claim was killed by the US and Israel as part of a covert operation aimed at stopping the country's nuclear program.
State TV showed thousands of people attending the funeral of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, a chemistry expert and a director of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility in central Iran.

Roshan's mother said at the funeral that his assassins "will not be able to sleep at night until Iran avenges Mostafa's death," the Fars news agency reported.
It was also reported that mourners chanted "death to Israel" "death to America" "death to terror" and "we have a legitimate right to nuclear energy" during the service.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast slammed the silence of Western nations after the assassination, claiming that this shows Israel that her acts of terror will not be challenged. He called on the relevant international bodies to fulfill their duty in connection to "these inhumane crimes."
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the final say on all state matters, said those behind the Wednesday assassination would be punished.
