The Palestinian Ma'an news agency reported Thursday that seven Palestinians were injured by artillery fire in the northern Gaza strip. According to the report, the IDF was firing at farmers in Beit Lahia.
The news agency said that two of the victims sustained serious wounds and were taken to the Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

The IDF said that troops had performed routine activity in the area and was not aware of any injuries.
Since the last round of violence in the south, Palestinian terrorists occasionally fire rockets at the Western Negev. Last Friday, a Qassam hit an open area south of Ashkelon. No injuries or damage were reported.
Several days earlier, a rocket exploded in Shaar Hanegev. No injuries or damage were reported.
