Another rape case shakes Israel as two women from Israel's north reported being sexually assaulted in the Ramat Yishai area. Residents of a nearby village are suspected of threatening the women's dates, chasing them away and raping the two. One suspect, from Manshia Zabda, has been arrested and remanded in custody until Thursday.

First reported by Channel 10 News, the incident took place at around 2 am on Sunday. The two women were out with their dates in the Ramat Yishai area and later took a car to a nearby grove.

According to the police, at this stage the two suspects arrived at the scene and chased the two men away with threats. They got into a vehicle parked in the area, and raped the two women. The suspects used the car, which was later found in a nearby village, to flee the area.
After canvassing the area, police arrested a suspect in his 20s who was remanded in custody. The women's dates were questioned and released. Police said that no weapon was used to threaten the two. The investigation is still ongoing.
A paramedic who treated the women, said they were both very confused. "They were quite shocked by the event and we had to convince them to be taken to hospital."
