Knesset Member Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) slammed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for attempting to force haredim to serve in the army. "I miss Olmert," he said. "If Israel had a prime minister, he would have put his foot down and opposed this coercion. But Israel doesn't have a prime minister."
Gafni also said that MK Yohanan Plesner's recommendations for a universal draft "borders on anti-Semitism." He made the remarks during a Knesset plenum session dealing with the Tal Law. (Moran Azulay)
