Fayyad: Israel responsible for death of Palestinian at checkpoint
Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said that the Israeli government was responsible for the incident in which Border Guard officers shot and killed a Palestinian at the a-Zaim checkpoint north of Jerusalem.
According to Israel, the Palestinian tried to break through the checkpoint and run over the Border Guard officers. But Fayyad questioned the Israeli version of events. (Elior Levy)
