Israel has prevented high-level diplomatic delegations from Indonesia, Cuba, Malaysia and Bangladesh from entering the West Bank from Jordan. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor says they were denied entry because their countries don't have diplomatic ties with Israel.
The delegations were to head to the West Bank on Sunday to support a Palestinian bid to win UN General Assembly recognition of an observer state of Palestine. In all, 12 delegations representing member states of the Non-Aligned Movement were to meet in Ramallah. (AP)
