Rabbi Ovadia Yosef on Saturday welcomed Aryeh Deri back to Shas, saying that this past week, during which Deri, Eli Yishai and Ariel Atias agreed to share leadership of the party, has been "a blessing."
"We have a triple bond that won't be severed soon," Yosef said in his weekly lesson, dubbing all three politicians "rabbis."

Yosef, who serves as Shas' spiritual leader, used his sermon to launch the party's new campaign.
"Our movement has exhibited its might in the Torah, in virtues, in supporting yeshivas, the poor and the weak. That is why they deserve all the blessings in the Torah," he said.
Shas rivals Yishai and Deri convened for a historic reconciliation meeting on Wednesday, and announced that they are to lead the party together, alongside Atias.
The meeting followed months of tension between Yishai and Deri, who resigned from the party 13 years ago after being convicted of accepting bribes. Yishai assumed the chairmanship of the party after Deri's departure.
