Traffilog strikes major deal in Mexico

As part of $22 million contract, Israeli company to supply smart systems capable of identifying concrete theft from cement mixers

Israeli company Traffilog has signed a deal worth NIS 85 million (about $22 million) in Mexico to supply smart systems capable of identifying concrete theft from cement mixers.

The first stage of the deal will see 4,500 systems installed in Mexico. An additional 5,800 systems will be installed throughout 2013.

Traffilog's smart system includes a sensor which identifies the direction the cement mixer's tank is spinning and warns of any suspicious theft.

The system also provides information to fleet managers about their vehicles' mechanical condition, developing malfunctions and the way each vehicle is used by its driver.

Traffilog is a global provider of web-based Mobile Resources Management fleet-management and mobile assets solutions.

The company is in the process of recruiting 20 new workers who will be willing to move with their families to Mexico.
