MOSCOW - Shahar Waiser and Roi More, founders of the Israel-based
GetTaxi startup, have won a prize for technological innovation in a competition organized by the Regional Public Center of Internet Technologies in Russia.
According to the association's deputy executive director, Sergey Grebennikov, "This project demonstrates how a phone application can change the public's life."
The GetTaxi application enables users to order a cab through their smartphone. It currently operates in Israel, Britain, the United States – and recently in Russia as well.
The company employs 150 workers.
