Sudan's Bashir meets Ahmadinejad
Sudan expects more investment from Iran as both countries want to develop their friendship, state news agency SUNA said on Wednesday after President Omar Hassan al-Bashir met Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Ties between Sudan and Iran have come under scrutiny in recent months after two Iranian navy ships visited Sudan in October, only days after Sudan accused Israel of bombing a weapons factory in the capital Khartoum. Analysts say Sudan's army, facing several insurgencies in the borderlands, wants to foster ties with Iran after both countries signed a military agreement in 2008. (Reuters)
