Rabbinical court injunction bars Deri from ministry position
A rabbinical court has issued an interim injunction barring Shas' Aryeh Deri from serving as a minister due to his refusal to appear before the court in a 'lawsuit' filed by two women over Shas' decision to abstain from the vote on the Oslo Accords.

Deri refused to be judged by the court, claiming that only Shas' religious council can judge him, as he is their emissary. This led the women to request a temporary injunction against Deri. (Akiva Novick)
