Riots in Hebron in wake of Megiddo Prison death

Palestinian sources have said that riots have broken out in Hebron in the wake of the death of Arafat Jaradat, a security prisoner who passed away in Megido Prison Saturday, apparently as a result from cardiac arrest. The scopes of the riots are currently unknown.

Issa Qaraqea, minister for prisoner affairs in the West Bank, placed the blame for Jaradat's death on the IPA and the Israeli government, demanding the formation of an investigation committee into the circumstances of his death. (Elior Levy)
