"(US President Barack) Obama should have listened to what I told him," said the Israeli student who interrupted the American leader's historic speech in Jerusalem Thursday evening.

Rabea Id, a Haifa University student from Eilabun, an Israeli-Arab local council in the north, yelled out during the speech: "Have you really come to promote the peace process or to provide Israel with more weapons to kill the Palestinian people?" On your way here did you see the (West Bank security) fence, or the killer of Rachel Corrie?"
Id, a Balad party activist, was escorted out of the hall at the International Convention Center after heckling the American president. "His visit shows us that he supports Israel and is not interested in what is going on with the Palestinian nation," Id told Ynet after the incident.
"This was the only way to convey the message he (Obama) needed to here, so he would not make do with what he heard from the Israeli side," the heckler said.
"Obama's visit supports the Israeli side at the expense of the Palestinian people. This country (Israel) should be for all its citizens, not only the Jewish citizens. I do not regret the words I said to Obama; on the contrary, I wanted him to hear me.
"I expected Obama to deliver a democratic speech, but unfortunately his speech was provocative," the Arab student told Ynet.
